    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must possess or be eligible to receive a Pennsylvania Vocational Director Certification, Secondary School Principal, and Vocational Supervisory certification preferred.

    • Minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience in a Career & Technical School or as a principal in a secondary school is preferred.

    • Experience with program and staff management, decision-making, data collection and analysis, marketing, curriculum development, public speaking, revenue procurement, and utilization/integration of technology.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Primary responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of the Career & Technical programs, including marketing of programs and the benefits of CTE, community outreach, evaluation of all staff, curriculum development, alignment of national standards, occupational advisory committees, program and building renovations, program safety, NOCTI Testing, and development of new programs. The principal will also need to participate in the application & admissions process for all new students. In addition, both formal & informal evaluations of Career & Technical instructors, academic instructors, school crisis response activities, equipment grants when available, coordinate building evacuation drills, define staff duty assignments, conduct principal counselor meetings & activities with sending districts, oversee the extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, and school assemblies. This will require the development of various Professional Development Committees (PLC), coordination of customer service with business & industry, and post-secondary partnerships. Evaluate support staff who work with student attendance, instructional assistants and organize the building for instruction that is focused on improving student achievement.

    REQUIRED CLEARANCES:

    Act 24 clearance, current Act 34, Act 168, and Act 151 clearances, and FBI fingerprints (dated within one year)

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months

    STARTING DATE:  On or before August 1, 2023

    SALARY: Salary competitive

  • Electrical Occupations Instructor (CIP 46.0399) Full-time (1.0) Position available 2023/2024 school year. The position includes delivering instruction to high school-age students using the Program of Study Task Grid for Electrical Occupations, Electrical and Power Transmission Installers, Other (CIP: 46.0399)

     Candidate must have the following qualifications:

    • 4+ years of wage-earning experience in the Electrical Occupations field 

    • Individual must have good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage and motivate high school students.

    • Successful candidate must complete PDE required college course work & certification process if not already certified.

    • Clearances for Acts 34, 151, and 114 will be required before hiring.

    • Physical and TB test

    • Provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path in Electrical Occupations.

    • Duties include program development and modifying curriculum to remain current and effective instruction and supervision of all students.

    • Build professional relationships with local businesses and industry partners to establish potential student work sites.

    • Maintain appropriate professional certificates and licenses as required.

    • Willingness to pursue teaching certification and professional development activities to enhance the program and self.

    • Possess excellent communication skills.

    • Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated in the WMCTC CTE Instructor Job Description.

    Terms of Employment: 10 Month

    Salary: Based on the teacher’s contract scale

    Instructional Assistant: The Instructional Assistant supports the learning process of students by assisting program teachers and student success coordinators in a variety of instructional areas.

Duties include general facility cleaning/maintenance tasks, preparing facilities for activities, seasonal outside maintenance. Salary is $18.00/hr. to start. Must possess current valid Pennsylvania drivers’ license.
