Hello Western Center families,
My name is Mark Holtzman and I am your new principal. I am humbled and excited to have been selected to serve the students, families, and staff of the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center. Previous to education, I was a general manager in commercial construction. My entire educational career has been in Career and Technical Education (CTE). Over the last 13 years previous to this principalship, I served CTE students as a program instructor, cooperative education coordinator, and assistant principal. These experiences have given me a vast understanding of the importance of a high-quality career and technical education.
I would like to thank the entire student body and school staff for welcoming me with open arms to our school. In my first week here at the Western Center, I've taken notice of the smiling faces of dynamically engaged learners. I introduced myself to our students and have heard many stories of their favorite lunch items, hunting stories, program achievements, and future goals. Our students are proud of their programs, proud of their school, and have built genuine relationships with their instructors. I am inspired by our instructors and the investments they have made into their programs and their commitment to student growth. I look forward to working with our staff to increase student achievement, career/college opportunities, and continue to build on the success that exists at the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center.
