Masking Update, Feb. 28, 2022

Letter sent to WMCTC community on Feb. 27, 2022.

Greetings Western Center Families and Friends!

We hope this message finds you well and enjoying your weekend.  We are sending an update in regard to WMCTC’s Health and Safety Plan as well as masking policies.

On February 25, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated guidance for masking.

The language from the CDC is as follows:

“Effective February 25, 2022, CDC does not require wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.”

Each of our sending schools, Spring-Ford, Pottsgrove and Upper Perkiomen have followed this recommendation and procedure and WMCTC will be following suit. This will begin on Monday, February 28, 2022.

What does this mean for WMCTC? Masking will no longer be required, but recommended, at Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center.  As always, we will be following our board approved Health and Safety Plan as well as CDC recommendations.  For your reference, the Health and Safety Plan can be found here.

WMCTC recommends that you talk with your student to help them with the transition.
