Welcome to Western Montgomery CTC’s page to enroll in Pennsylvania State Inspection/Emissions certification classes. The next class dates are scheduled for August. See details below. Classes are scheduled for the spring, fall, and summer semesters. Additional classes may be scheduled based on need. Click on the link below to register.

Next Available Dates:

  • Safety Inspection Class (3-night classes) - December 1, 3, 4, and 1 hour Tactile exam (scheduled Saturday, December 6 between 8 am - 4 pm).
  • 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Emissions Class (3-night classes) - December 8, 9, and 11
  • 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Safety Inspection and Emission Inspection classes will also run in 2026, dates to be determined.

Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license (no suspension)
  • Must be able to read and write English

Cost

  • Enhanced Emissions Certification Class $200.00 (Cost does not include registering on patrainingportal.com. Cost to register through PennDOT for Emissions Inspector Certification Training Package is $39.99)
  • Pennsylvania State Inspection Class $225.00
    • To Add Additional Categories to Your PA State Inspection License $60.00 Each (Not Required to Take Entire Course)
  • Enhanced Inspection License $60.00 (Includes Test & Prep Package - No Course Necessary)
  • Pay via cash or card ONLY - no checks.
    • Credit/Debit and cash payment can be made during business hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-3:30 pm). A 3.5% convenience fee applies to all card payments.
