Position Available: Business Manager
Full-Time, 12-Month Contract Position
Start Date: January 1, 2027, or before
Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center (WMCTC), a premier career and technical education institution serving students from Pottsgrove, Spring-Ford, and Upper Perkiomen School Districts, is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Business Manager to oversee and manage all business and financial operations of the school.
WMCTC operates with an annual budget of approximately $10 million and serves hundreds of secondary learners through innovative career and technical education programs. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in supporting the Center's mission by ensuring sound fiscal management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Pennsylvania Registered School Business Administrator (PRSBA) certification preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial management and accounting practices, preferably within a Pennsylvania public school setting.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Pennsylvania school finance, budgeting, accounting procedures, payroll, purchasing, and school business operations.
- Experience with fund accounting software and financial reporting systems.
- Strong understanding of federal and state legislation related to school funding, accounting, employee benefits, and public procurement.
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and/or performing all business and financial operations of the Career and Technical Center.
- Developing, preparing, monitoring, and administering the annual budget.
- Cash flow, investments, and financial forecasting.
- Administering payroll, employee benefits, insurance programs, and personnel/HR functions.
- Overseeing purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and internal auditing procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining effective budgetary control systems and financial reporting processes.
- Supervising food service operations and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Assisting with collective bargaining negotiations and labor relations matters.
- Preparing financial reports and presentations for the Joint Operating Committee (JOC).
- Ensuring compliance with the Pennsylvania School Code, federal regulations, auditing standards, and JOC policies.
- Supporting administration in developing policies and procedures that promote organizational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Assisting with strategic planning, capital projects, grant management, and long-range financial planning.
- Collaborating with administrative staff to achieve institutional goals and maintain operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a School Business Administrator, Business Manager, or Career and Technical Education administrator.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania school law and Joint Operating Committee governance structures.
- Experience with school audits, federal and state grant reporting, and school funding mechanisms.

Position: Instructional Assistant
Position: Substitute Custodian
Varied shift work at the Western Montgomery Career & Technology Center in Limerick, PA. Duties include general facility cleaning/maintenance tasks, preparing the facility for activities, seasonal outside maintenance. Must possess current valid Pennsylvania drivers’ license. Must obtain and provide Act 151, Act 34 and Act 114 clearances.
Hours: Flexible
Pay rate: $16.25/hr
Position: Substitute School Nurse
Rate: $135/day
Position available immediately.
